    This park is close to Hwy 1 and BC Parks describes this park as “convenient overnight camping”. On the plus side it is close to the highway and easy to find. Located in a pine forest many campsites are large, mostly level, with some space between sites and some shade. There are hiking trails, a shower house, and a park host. We had 4 bars cell coverage in the park. On the negative side the campsite is located on a steep hill side, the trails have steep sections, and none of the campsites offer power, water, or sewer hookups. The park roads are steep, bears frequent the area, some campsites are sloped, some are small. The river and day use area are located on the other side of busy Hwy 1 a long walk from the campsites. There is no playground in the campground.
